E. Jane Fishback, 87, of Alexandria, died May 10, 2017, at her home. She had been a resident at Goodwin House of Alexandria for several years.
She was born Aug. 23, 1929, in Marshall, to the late Bedford F. and Emily D. Fishback.
After graduating from Marshall High School, Ms. Fishback moved to Richmond to work for the state government. She graduated from Strayer School of Business and went to work for the federal government in Washington, D.C. Ms. Fishback worked for several agencies, including the Office of Management and Budget and the Department of Agriculture. She was a member of Baptist Temple and also attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Alexandria.
Survivors include her sister, Joanne Glascock of Warrenton; her niece, Jean Phelps; her nephews, Jerry Wine, Greg Bush and Frank Fishback, and a host of great nieces and nephews and many extended friends.
Two sisters, Elizabeth Wine and Mary Lee Bush, and her brother, Bonner Fishback, preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 15, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, at the Warrenton Cemetery.
