Elizabeth A. Roach, 65, of Warrenton, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at home.
She was born March 25, 1948, in Philadelphia.
Her degrees in theology included a bachelor’s from Immaculata College and a master’s from the Notre Dame Institute.
For more than 30 years she was with the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and served as a teacher with several dioceses in Pennsylvania and Virginia. Miss Roach was principal of St. John the Evangelist School for more than a decade before joining the Arlington Diocese as assistant superintendent of schools.
She enjoyed cheering for Philadelphia teams and reading.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marguerite C. Roach and a sister, Eileen H. Quigley.
Survivors include her father, Edward J. Roach; a sister, Marguerite M. Kloter; a brother, Edward J. Roach Jr., and five nieces and nephews and extended family members.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Warrenton. Interment will follow at Bright View Cemetery near Warrenton.
