Chester Allen Glascock, 87, of Warrenton, died April 7, 2017, at the Fauquier Health Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
He was born Feb. 13, 1930, in Marshall, to the late Harry and Mary Robinson Glascock. He was also preceded in death by his son, Ronald Allen Glascock.
Mr. Glascock served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Long Branch Baptist Church. In the early 1960s, he housed, trained and hunted the beagles for the Middleburg Pony Club and was honorary whipper-in for Orange County Hunt for 25 years. Horses were a part of his life from the time he was 17 until he retired at 83.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Joanne Fishback Glascock; his daughter, Jean Phelps and husband Joseph of Romney, W.Va.; his grandchildren, Heather Cecco and husband Joseph and Chief Andrew Phelps and wife Stephanie; his five great-grandchildren, and his brother, Randolph Glascock and wife Nancy of Bealeton.
A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at the Marshall Cemetery.
