Christopher James Peil, age 63, of Warrenton, was called to heaven on Sunday, September 17, 2017.
He was born September 30, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, to Norman and Elizabeth Peil.
Mr. Peil was a helicopter mechanic in the U.S. Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. He was also a master carpenter and his passion was working with his hands and building things with wood.
Survivors include four daughters, Grace Davies of Marshall, Anna Brown of Brightwood, Gretchen Peil of Arcata, Calif., and Nancy Peil of Glen Allen; his mother, Elizabeth Peil of Marshall, and four sisters and three brothers, Diane DeFord, Patricia Riebe, Lisa Behnke, Kathleen Davies, Michael Peil, Gregory Peil, and Mark Peil.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. A Funeral Mass will be held at noon Thursday, September 21, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Warrenton. A procession will follow to Culpeper National Cemetery for burial at 2. St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church will host a reception following the burial.
