Donna Mark Woodruff Hildebrand was born on March 29, 1940, and had a tee time in Heaven on February 25, 2019.
She was a strong, smart woman who always confidently spoke her mind. She never saw the world in a poetic or romantic fashion but was more of a realist who called it the way she saw it. She was a force to reckon with, and you always knew where you stood with her and what she thought.
She grew up in Michigan, graduated from college, had a career, got married and had three kids. As life does, unexpected events happened along the way including the illness and later death of her husband, John Hildebrand Sr.
She raised her three children, John Jr. (Dawn), Woody and Julie (Brett), none of whom turned out to be total screw ups. In 2009, she joined her daughter and son-in- law, Julie and Brett in Warrenton and was an integral part of the lives of four grandchildren, Grant, Luke, Brooke and Sloane.
She became an avid golfer at the Fauquier Springs Country Club, where she made a few good friends and only told a few people off. Her days were marked by a good golf day or a bad golf day, and she thoroughly enjoyed having ice cream and beer for dinner.
She is survived by her three children, John, Woody and Julie and eight grandchildren, Grant, Luke, Brooke, Sloane, Mia, Anna, Hunter and Viktoria. She was the best Granny, Mom and friend one could ever have in life. The entire family is completely gutted by this tragic and unexpected loss.
She hated crowds and very clearly communicated, as only she could, that she did not want a Memorial Service.

Lastly, in honor of Granny, please drink a Corona Light and promise yourself that you will try harder to tell people what you really think.
