James A. Reid Jr., 91, of Warrenton died on October 21, 2017, at his home.
He was born June 8, 1926, in Paterson, N.J., to the late James A. and Emma Reid.
James worked as a machinist for Marcal Paper for many years and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Warrenton. He was active in the Knights of Columbus and a bell ringer for the Salvation Army. He also loved the circus and was a member of Circus Fans of America, along with being an avid bowler and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean F. Reid, and a brother, John Reid.
Survivors include his daughter, Judy Goldman and husband Gerry and his son, James A. Reid III, all of Warrenton; his grandchildren, Dara Goldman, Kevin Goldman and Jacob Goldman, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 25, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Warrenton. Interment will follow at Bright View Cemetery near Warrenton.
