John Ronald Heyl, 71, of Marshall, passed away suddenly on March 5, 2019, in The Plains.
Mr. Heyl was a combat veteran who honorably served in Vietnam from 1969 to 1971 in the U.S. Army as a Specialist Five. He was a man with many talents and was last working in landscaping. He will be greatly missed by his family and his friends.
He is survived by his two sons, William Thomas “Will” Heyl of Marshall and John Robert “Rob” Heyl of The Plains, and three grandchildren, John Thomas Heyl, William Denzel Heyl and Cody Thomas Heyl.
A celebration of Mr. Heyl’s life will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 17, at The Marshall Ruritan Building.
