Obituaries » Margaret O. Clatterbuck

Margaret O. Clatterbuck, 67, of Remington, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 27, 2017, at Fauquier Hospital.

She was born May 21, 1949, in The Plains, to the late Frank B. Owens Sr. and Mildred Campbell Owens Rector.

Mrs. Clatterbuck retired from Thompson Oil Co. after 16 years as a secretary. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Ray J. Clatterbuck; a son, Ray J. Clatterbuck Jr. and wife Shari of Culpeper; a daughter, Melissa A. Sikes and husband Andrew of Mechanicsville; five granddaughters, Sara B. Lair and husband Justin, Rachel J. Clatterbuck, Anna R. Clatterbuck, Olivia A. Sikes and Nora J. Sikes; three brothers, Howard Owens, Richard Owens and Jerry Owens; seven sisters, Jane Watner, Nancy Gray, Catherine Kerns, Mildred Sutphin, Gloria Curtis, Barbara McVey and Nellie Fletcher; a half-brother, Charlie Owens; a half-sister, Alice Tumblin, and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Owens and John Owens; three half-sisters, Eileen Kendall, Susie Cameron and Dorothy Lunsford, and one half-brother, Frank Berkley “Bill” Owens Jr.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. The service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, March 31, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Remington Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Remington Volunteer Fire & Rescue, 200 E. Marshall St., Remington, Va. 22734.
