Mary Louise McCullough. 94, of Orlean, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Greenfield Reflection Senior Living in Strasburg.
She was born Dec. 18, 1922, in Baltimore, to the late Louise and Thomas Newbold.
Mrs. McCullough was a devoted Army wife and mother. She was a visiting teacher for Fauquier County Public Schools for 22 years. An artist and gardener, she was an active member of Leeds Episcopal Church and was involved in the community.
Survivors include her six children, Clinton McCullough, Michael McCullough and wife, Jackie, John McCullough and wife Judy, Shaw Armstrong and husband Don, Mary Robinson (late husband Bill) and James McCullough and wife JoAnn); 21 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, retired U.S. Army Maj. William Clinton McCullough, and a brother, Henry Newbold.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 29, at Leeds Episcopal Church near Markham.
