Park William Walker, 94, of Casanova, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 31, 2017, while vacationing with family in Fenwick Island, Delaware.
He was born in Herndon to the late Edgar and Mary Catherine Walker.
A lifelong resident of Virginia, he served in World War II with the Army Air Corps. Following the war, Mr. Walker worked 33 years as a machinist and model maker for the Army. He and his wife Frances married in 1949 and were members of the Fairfax United Methodist Church from 1957 until they moved to Casanova in 1979.
Mr. Park was a devoted family man and spent his retirement years as a gentleman farmer on his beloved Timberlane. He was happiest when he had family members around him.
Survivors include his four children, Michele Walker of Charlotte, N.C., Michael R. Walker and wife Susan of Vienna, Mark Walker and wife Fereshteh of Vienna and Marielle Walker of Casanova; a brother, Thomas Walker of Calverton, and four grandchildren, Melody, Mona and her husband Adam, Eric and his wife Jill and Brent and his wife Sarah.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Frances B. Walker, and three siblings, Edgar J. Walker, Virginia Rogers and Mary Shirley.
The family will receive visitors at from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. The funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 7, at Warrenton United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Bright View Cemetery near Warrenton.
