Obituaries » Patricia Louise McCune

Patricia Louise McCune, 78, of Warrenton, passed away peacefully at Fauquier Hospital on Friday, October 27, 2017.

She was born February 26, 1939, in Minot, North Dakota, to the late Arthur and Vlasta F. Timm.

She graduated from Minot High School, then attended Minot Teachers College and completed her associate’s degree at Minot Business College. Later, she also attended Northern Virginia Community College in Manassas. Mrs. McCune was a full-time mother and homemaker raising two girls, but she also worked part-time in accounting for various businesses throughout the region and as a licensed Realtor in Warrenton. Mrs. McCune loved the Lord, and her family and friends. She took great pleasure in gardening, sewing, interior decorating, puzzles and volunteering at Fauquier Hospital and Fauquier Health and Rehab.

Survivors include two daughters, Kimberlee Yandle and husband Richard of King George and Debra Jones and husband Wayne of Opal; two brothers, Michael E. Timm and wife Sonia of Minot, North Dakota, and Arthur Ross Timm and wife Nancy of Anchorage, Alaska; two stepchildren, Stephanie Painter and husband Darren of Powhatan and Steven McCune of Alexandria; two grandsons, Brian Passmore and wife Michelle and Steven Yandle and wife Goldie; two granddaughters, Lisa Talarico and husband Drew and Teresa Graham and husband Dustin; eight great-grandchildren, August, Elliott, Juliet, Jessie Mae, Katie Belle, Mason, Chase and Sawyer; and five step-grandchildren, Emily, Matthew, Megan, Ryan and Lily Painter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. McCune, and a brother, Gerald Allen Timm.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 2, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. The funeral will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, November 3, at the Warrenton Baptist Church, 123 Main. Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery on a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Warrenton Baptist Church or Samaritan’s Purse.
