James Edward Cubbage, 82, of Remington, passed away August 16, 2017, at Fauquier Hospital.
He was born on August 18, 1934, at Estes, Virginia, to the late Oakley Thomas Cubbage and Eva Pearl Jenkins Cubbage.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Shaw Cubbage.
Mr. Cubbage was employed as a service manager for various Ford Motor dealerships including Tom Frost Ford, Wayne Brady Ford, Brady-Bushey Ford, Rick Hunt Ford and Cherner Lincoln-Mercury. He was a member of Gourdvine Baptist Church but attended Remington Baptist Church and was a former member of the Remington Volunteer Fire Company.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Allen and Pam Cubbage, The Plains, Lois and Cecil Welch of Remington, Michael and Melanie Cubbage of Remington and Richard and Robyn Cubbage of Bealeton; his siblings, Ann Woodward, Minnie Mozingo, Burgess Cubbage, Thomas Cubbage, Donald Cubbage, Mary Lou Jackson and Jackie Cubbage; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and two caregivers who were very special to him, Nicole Adamson and Nettie Guy.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 19, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 11 a.m. at the Remington Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Remington Cemetery.
