Johnny Nosar, 65, of Callao, Virginia, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, July 31, 2018.
He was born December 27, 1952, in Culpeper, to the late Stefan and Barbara Nosar.
Johnny was a 1971 Fauquier High School graduate. Soon after high school, he went on to work for L.J. Foley Plumbing alongside his father and several brothers until retirement.
He was passionate about baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves. His other interests included playing the lottery, cooking (which he took after his mother), gardening and canning. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family.
Johnny was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Nancy Nosar; a brother, Wasyl Nosar; a sister, Mary Magdalene, and a brother, Pete Nosar.
He is survived by two daughters, Kristen Garbutt (Aaron) and Kellie Butler (Dale); three grandchildren, Brian Nosar, Kamara Nosar (Alex) and Tyjuan Garbutt; eight siblings, Marga Argo (Erhard), George Nosar (Charleen), Michael Ribakov (Linda), Henry Nosar (Cathy), Joe Nosar (Betty), Anna Walls (William), Frederick Nosar (Sherry) and Katherine Riddle; a brother-in-law, William Silberman (late Mary Silberman); a sister-in-law, Patricia Parsons, and many adored nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, August 5, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. The service will take place at 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 6, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Midland Cemetery.
