Michael Ray Pillion, 59, of Culpeper, died April 2, 2017.
Born in Winchester Oct. 31, 1957, he was a son of the late Robert Joseph Pillion and Patricia Gray McGaren.
Mr. Pillion was the transportation manager for US Foods, where he happily worked for the last 30 years. He enjoyed gardening, life on the farm and deer hunting. Road trips with his wife were a favorite pastime, and he cherished summer vacations with all his grandchildren.
Mostly, he was a devoted family man and is survived by his wife, Kelie S. Pillion; a son and his wife, Shawn and Roberta Pillion; a daughter and her husband, Jennifer and James Franklin; three sisters and their husbands, Cathy Pillion-Dorsey and Dan, Rebecca Mason and Freddie, Sarah Yost and Jeffrey; eight grandchildren, Mackenzie, Sydney, Tyler, Reagan and Avery Pillion and Caylah, Jack and Taylor Franklin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Pillion Krueger.
The family will receive friends at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 9, with a service following at 5 p.m.
A reception will follow at the Warrenton firehouse, 167 W. Shirley Ave. Interment will be private at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Upperville.
