Robert Clinton Clater Jr., 78, of Manassas, passed away March 9, 2017, at Prince William Medical Center in Manassas.
Mr. Clater was a retired CIA agent who honorably served our nation.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Lois Cooper Clater; Moose, his dog; his son, Robert Clinton Clater III and wife Terry of Florence, Ala.; two daughters, Karen Clater Daffan and husband Lee of Catlett and Kimberly Tannehill Hall and husband Roy of Manassas; a brother, Richard Phillips Clater and wife Janet of Mint Hill, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Ashleigh Clater, Meagan Clater, Courtney Clater, Broc Daffan, Cooper Daffan, Chloe Tannehill and Rylee Hall, and a great-grandson, Lamont Shipp.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. The funeral will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 16,
at the Victory Baptist Church, 12650 Aden Road, Nokesville. Burial will follow at Midland Cemetery. A reception will take place at the church.
