Virginia Pearson Kane, 98, of Sherrills Ford, N.C., died Sept. 5, 2018.
She was born Aug. 9, 1920, in Hume.
She was employed as a secretary and bookkeeper in her early life and later as a practical nurse to the elderly. Mrs. Kane was a past member of the Warrenton Lioness Club, the Fauquier Hospital Auxiliary, the Friendly Friday Folks and a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of Battle Run Primitive Baptist Church in Flint Hill and held the office of treasurer for 23 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, James Ashley Pearson and Ella Myrtle Jones Pearson; her husband of 45 years, Cleveland M. Kane, and a brother, Shirley R. “Flash” Pearson.
Survivors include her two daughters, Gail K. Forbus and Reva A. Kane of Sherrills Ford, N.C.; a son, Al H. Kane of Amissville; a brother, Harvey L. Pearson of Warrenton; five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, when the service will begin at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. Interment will follow at the Warrenton Cemetery.
