Wallace Kennedy Anns, 88, of Bealeton, peacefully passed away with family at his side on January 5, 2018.
Mr. Anns retired after 25 years as a federal government firefighter. He was also the first fire chief of Lois Volunteer Fire Department and served for many years. Mr. Anns served in the U. S. Navy as a gunner’s Mate for four years.
He was devoted to his family and is survived by his wife of 64 years, Willie Mae Anns; his daughter, Gloria Crittenden and her husband Brady; his son, Michael Anns and his wife Donna; his daughter, Glenda Anderson and her husband Bob; his daughter, Gina Faragher of New Jersey; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and his sister, Eunice Ailshire of West Virginia.
He was predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Myrtle Anns; his sisters, Doris Meyer and Zoraida Morgan; his brother, Ronnie Anns, and a grandson.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Jan. 9, when the funeral will begin at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 12714 Elk Run Road, Midland. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
