Obituaries » William F. “Fred” Huber Sr.

William Fredrick “Fred” Huber Sr., 75, of Warrenton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Fauquier Hospital.

He was born on December 4, 1942 in Raymond, Illinois, to the late, Roy and Ruth Huber.

Fred served two years in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1964 to 1966. After his discharge from the military, he had a lengthy government career with the Central Intelligence Agency and later publishing educational journals.

Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Carole B. Huber; three sons, William Fredrick Huber Jr. and his wife Virginia of Warrenton, Timothy James Huber of Cottonwood, Arizona, and Jason Edward Huber and his wife Michelle of Rockville, Maryland; three brothers, Jim Huber of Gainesville, Florida, Paul Huber and his wife Jeannette of Hillsboro, Illinois, and Dave Huber and his wife Marlene of Leland, North Carolina, and two sisters, Margaret Shea of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Patricia Regan of Springfield, Illinois.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by three brothers, Benny Huber, Roy Huber Jr. and Joel Huber, and two sisters, Betty Bell and Norma Mohorich.

The service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 6, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. Interment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Warrenton Volunteer Fire & Rescue, 167 Shirley Ave., Warrenton, Virginia 20186 and/or American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75231.
