Yukiko Sano “Nicki” Scheulen, 89, of Deer Park, New York, died peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, November 20, 2018, in Warrenton, where she resided for the last seven years.
Nicki was born in Yokohama, Japan, on December 3, 1928, the second daughter of Yoshimichi and Aguri Sano.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 40 years, Donald A. “Mac” Scheulen.
Nicki is survived by her nephews, William Busko of Winchester, Harry Scheulen and wife Anne Marie of White Post, George Scheulen and wife Barbara of Warrenton, Terry Scheulen of Winchester, Jack Scheulen and wife Donna of Stephens City and Jeff Scheulen and wife Gayle of Winchester; her nieces, Florence Scheulen Burnette and husband James of Lynch Station, Virginia, and Dale Scheulen Tulloch and husband Dave of Harbeson, Delaware, as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no service. She will be cremated and her ashes interred with her husband and infant child at the Long Island National Cemetery in Pinelawn, New York.
