Could Fauquier County support a new performing arts center?

The board of supervisors recently appropriated $30,000 to help fund a feasibility study.

Fauquier "might" be able to support a new performing arts center, but only IF (& that's an important "IF") they do suitable & in-depth research first - & that involves ensuring all involved are uber-proficient in not only the arts, but also effective marketing, fundraising, & PROPER BUSINESS PROCEDURES.

Otherwise they're more than likely to fall (& fail) down the same holes the poor "State Theatre" in Culpeper did. Sad, sad situation that could have been prevented if the folks involved had more experience than egos.
