This Tax Cut and Jobs Act is neither for the average Jill or Joe. An unaccountable Congress elected on a bogus gerrymandered redistricting system is rushing to detonate a fiscal bomb over America. Those who are sheltered?....the 1%, corporations and politicians.
Robot truck drivers navigating up and down routes 66, 81 and 95 while Virginia drivers pay $25.00 EZpass tolls heading to mediocre jobs for pay that doesn't keep pace.
Wake up America/Virgina/Fauquier this tax bill is a mistake!!

Tax Bill Favors Adding Robots Over Workers, Critics Say
They say the Republican tax proposals encourage companies to buy robots instead of hiring people and creating jobs. Some employers and economists say the bill should promote training instead.

Tax Bill Could Offer New Way To Funnel Political Cash — And Make It Tax Deductible
Big-money donors can already donate anonymously through social-welfare groups. If Congress keeps a provision in the House tax bill, it would allow charitable organizations to play politics.

Agree with both ella82 and martinkus. Trump needs to GO along with a bunch of people in Congress, both Republican and Democrat! They DO NO have the people's best interests at heart. It's all about the $$$$$. I truly believe Trump is driving our country to World War III. Anyone that says that he is Making America Great Again is a nincompoop!

The Senate bill stinks! And I say that has a fiscal conservative who used to support the GOP (not anymore and "NO," I am not a Democrat). The bill was passed using "smoke and mirror" politics in the name of "reconciliation"; i.e., Republicans passed the bill with a minimum of 50 votes, effectively shutting out any possible bi-partisan effort. Nice way to run the government, don't you think? Yes, the Democrats used that tactic in the past, but two wrongs do not make it right. While large corporations will receive a permanent tax break, many American families (including mine), will receive a "temporary" tax break which will evaporate around 2025. This is a gimmick to help pay for the huge deficit (around $1 trillion after taking into account the bill's economic benefit) that the bill would inflict upon our current national debt of $20 trillion dollars! Many economists do not believe we need to "supercharge" the economy since it is doing pretty well right now. Big dog Republicans say that future Congresses will not let the tax breaks for the common folk sunset- yeah I believe them...don't you? ("free beer tomorrow"..."check is in the mail"). Republicans are supposed to be the party of fiscal constraint, reigning in the federal debt...not anymore! How are they going to pay for the loss of revenue? Guess what...according to the Republican leadership, the next big issue is tackling "welfare reform." Watch out folks...they are coming for us again. Currently, the federal budget is about $4 trillion dollars a year. Of that amount, about $2 trillion dollars is spent on social security, medicare and medicaid. Guess where they are going to find big bucks to help pay for the growing national debt and huge tax cuts for large corporations? I used to be a supporter of this party...not anymore... The lack of true honest leadership, from the Executive Branch to the Legislative Branch is striking and sad. By the way, the Democrats are no better! Unfortunately, the way the political system is "rigged," the current political duopoly will continue and strangle our Nation.

Well...Fauquier County voted for Trump in the election and for the Republicans in the latest election. I would say they very much deserve just exactly what they are going to get...a disaster of a tax bill...and don't blame it on the wealthy that have homes in the county for most of them support Democrats . This Trump idiocy is very much supported by the working class who due to Trump are more than likely to have to work until the day they draw their last breath. Yes..let's make America great again...by impeaching Trump and throwing out the republicans in the 2018 elections. Enough of this selfish bullying child that's calling himself POTUS.

The "Yes" votes are coming from the wealthy who love the end of the estate tax!!!!

My mistake $1.2 TRILLION to pay for the tax cuts by Americans that are not wealthy or a rich Corporation not $1.2 million.

Take from Peter to pay Paul. $1.4 trillion in cuts to Corporations and the wealthy, to be paid by a tax increase of $1.2 million to the rest of Americans.
