Great showcase for young people to exhibit their animals, produce and crafts. I enjoy seeing the results of their hard work. But, Fauquier's fair is otherwise lame and same-old, same old. Getting stale. Somewhat boring and hokey. Not worth the entry fee per person. Parking is horrible. Plus, why have it during the hottest time of the year? Never could understand that. New people managing the fair would help. People running it have been there too long.
Bonnie C. - Yes, the price has gotten rather high, but I go to support the kids in 4-H mostly and of course my yearly corn dog. Thanks for the tip on the CMR Farm Show, haven't been before and look forward to checking it out.
Nope - I'll be attending the Culpeper-Madison-Rappahannock Farm Show, where one can have a pleasant morning/afternoon/day wandering around viewing actual FARM exhibits without having to pay an exorbitant per-person entrance charge.
Yep, have to have my annual corn dog with mustard, and a look at the animals and exhibits. We have some very dedicated farmers and talented artisans in this country.
