The Fauquier County Department of Economic Development has established a Technology Assistance Matching Grant Program.
The program is part of the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors’ initiatives designed to assist the business community.
The program seeks to assist county for-profit businesses in technology developments and improvements, which will improve efficiency of operations or expand business operations in a way that contributes to growth in business revenues.
Applicants can apply for funding of up to $2,000 with a 1:1 match required. No more than 10 projects will be funded during this grant cycle. Applications will be accepted through April 16, and the pool of applications will be reviewed and grant recipients notified.
Eligible activities include, but are not limited to, website development, e-commerce solutions, database development and other e-commerce innovations as approved.
The grant is a “Technology Zone” or “Tourism Zone” business incentive. Therefore businesses must be located within one of those zones. The board of supervisors had identified those zones as the “service districts” throughout Fauquier.
The deadline for submission of grant applications is April 16. The grant program is funded by the Industrial Development Authority and administered by the Fauquier County Department of Economic Development.
