Gunshots hit Bealeton home in drive-by
   February 17, 2012

The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a drive-by shooting Thursday night in Bealeton.

There were no injuries, according to Lt. James Hartman.

“The residence was struck with several small-caliber rounds,” Lt. Hartman said.

Deputies responded to a report of gunshots in the 6600 block of Schoolhouse Road (Route 661) at about 8 p.m.

The homeowner told deputies “his house had been shot at, and an unknown vehicle was heard speeding away,” the lieutenant added.

Others in the neighborhood confirmed hearing the gunshots and the vehicle.

Several adults and a small child were in the home at the time.

Anyone with information about the shooting may contact the sheriff’s office at (540) 422-8600.
