108-acre The Plains farm sells for $6.65 million

The 1974 manor house at Muster Lane Farm, which sold for $6.65 million.
This home on 19.9 acres near Delaplane sold for $2.7 million.
A 108-acre horse farm north of The Plains sold last week for $6.65 million.

Built in 1974, the 9,100-square-foot brick manor house at Muster Lane Farm has four bedrooms and 4-1/2 baths.

The property features a swimming pool, a five-car garage with an office, an 11-stall stable, two tenant houses, a bank barn, a four-bay machine shed, other buildings, a riding arena, fenced paddocks and trails.

The property went on the market in August 2019 with an asking price of $8.25 million, according to Realtor.com.

John Coles of Thomas & Talbot Real Estate represented the seller.

The Scott District sale tops the most recent list of Fauquier property transactions, which include two others in excess of $2 million each:

• A six-bedroom Tuscan-style home on 19.9 acres near Delaplane sold for $2.7 million.

Built in 1990 on Briar Lane, the 10,000-square-foot house had a two-story great room, a central courtyard, a pool and spa, an oudoor kitchen and a six-car garage.

The Marshall District property went on the market in November with an asking price of $2.8 million, according to Realtor.com.

Jeff Wilson of TTR Sotheby’s International Realty represented the seller and John Matthew Kitchen of Jacobs & Co. Real Estate represented the buyer.

• Two parcels, totaling 62 acres and each with a house, on Halfway Road north of The Plains sold for $2.1 million.
