Best Bets: Concert series, “Local Jam” at Gloria’s
The Elizabeth Lawrence Band will perform in the “Local Jam” on Sunday Gloria’s and Twilight Polo takes place Saturday night at Great Meadow.
Warrenton’s traditional summer concert series will begin Saturday night on Hotel Street. The Allegro Community School for the Arts sponsors the six-concert series.
On Sunday, Gloria’s Listening Room will host a “Local Jam” of familiar bands, along with an auction, to raise funds for its work to support young musicians.
The community will dedicate a new playground in Upperville and Twilight Polo always provides family fun at Great Meadow.

Games, face painting, cotton candy and popcorn will be featured in the carnival-like dedication of the new playground in one of Fauquier’s oldest county parks. Free.
Gridlock Band Summer on the Green concert

Hotel Street, Warrenton
The Allegro Community School for the Arts opens its series of six summer concerts. The evening will include Rocknoceros as the kids’ activity, a food truck and a beer/wine garden. Admission $5; free for children 5 and younger. Click here for info.

Local bands will perform in an afternoon jam, with Will Thomas serving as the emcee. The bands: Bailey Hayes, Robbins & Green Blues Company, Schreiner, The Bottle Shop, The Elizabeth Lawrence Band, The Thistle Brothers and Whisky Business.
Food from Sandy’s Kitchen, along with beer, wine and soft drinks available for purchase. Auction items.
