Upperville home on 5 acres sells for $4 million

This “Neoclassical Palladian villa” on five acres east of Upperville sold recently for $4 million.
The “Polo Station” shopping center in Bealeton sold for $2.45 million.
A five-bedroom home on five acres near Upperville sold recently for $4 million.

Built on Crenshaw Road in 1997 and renovated in 2017, the 5,800-square-foot house features two master suites on the main level, a gourmet kitchen, custom millwork, Italian marble and reclaimed wide-plank flooring.

The “Neoclassical Palladian villa” has a swimming pool, terrace and 1,225-square-foot guest house.

East of Upperville, the property went on the market in December with an asking price of $4.35 million, according to Realtor.com.

Jonathan Taylor of TTR Sotheby’s International Realty represented the seller and Shannon Gilmore of Washington Fine Properties represented the buyer.

The Marshall District transaction tops the most recent list of Fauquier real estate sales.

That list also includes:

• The $2.45-million sale of a small shopping center in Bealeton.

Built in 2006 on the west side of Route 17, “Polo Station” features 11,700 square feet of interior space divided as six shops/offices and 65 parking spaces on 1.3 acres.

• The $1.1-million sale of 3.9 acres at 10041 James Madison Highway in Opal.

On the highway’s east side, the Cedar Run District property houses a used vehicle dealership, which uses a former convenience store building as its office.
