The singing family from New Baltimore has produced another musical video parody.
Carole and Rob Tessier and their nine children made us laugh in May with “For the Longest Quarantine,” a sendup of Billy Joel’s 1983 hit, The Longest Time.
Don McLean’s American Pie, released in 1971, provides the Tessiers’ latest inspiration.
Posted Saturday, Sept. 5, on YouTube, “Another Cow Pie — American Pie Farm Parody” had more than 1,000 views by Tuesday.
“We chose to do something that would intentionally NOT focus on COVID or other bad news — just a simple, fun distraction from the negativity surrounding our country right now,” Mrs. Tessier wrote in an email. “We absolutely love our hobby farm life here in Fauquier County and want to celebrate the joy of country living!
“We also feature a dear neighbor, Michael Jenkins, who was delighted to be a part of this video.”
She added: “Another neat tidbit. The guitarist featured in our video happens to be my long lost half brother whom I only met two years ago aftr discovering my birth mother after 44 years! He lives in Florida and is an incredibly talented musician. So, it has been a dream come true to make music with this new brother of mine, even across the miles.”
Fauquier Community Theatre veterans, the Tessiers live on 10 acres. Life on that homestead provides plenty of material for their latest work.
And, again, families all over Fauquier can relate.
