School administrators answer reopening questions

Click above to watch Deputy Superintendent Major Warner and Director of Instruction Amy Acors discuss instruction in Fauquier County Public Schools, which will resume classes Aug. 24.
Deputy Superintendent Major Warner and Director of Instruction Amy Acors discuss the blended and 100-percent instruction Fauquier County Public Schools will offer in the fall semester.

The school board last week voted, 5-0, to offer those options, with classes starting Monday, Aug. 24. Administrators and the board hope Fauquier can move to four-day-a-week in-person instruction in mid-October.

The school system also launched a new website devoted to the reopening under the COVID-19 pandemic guidelines.

The website includes answers to 49 frequently-asked questions, a form for submitting new questions, details of the reopening plan and links to other information.

Mr. Warner and Dr. Acors recorded the video Wednesday, July 22.

As schools reopen, more will be learned about the feasibility and effectiveness of mitigation strategies such as wearing facial cloth coverings and keeping people 6 feet apart by social distance. Can I Pay Someone To Do My Online Class For Me

Don’t know how to do academic assignments? Go to https://qweetly.com and have a look at samples of A-winning assignments. They are free.

This is a big question, whether to open schools or not. Yes, it is true that schools can teach students online but teaching in schools is totally different. My children are not taking online classes such as serious. But we (parents) can help our children to provide them with good study material online. Children don't have much knowledge about online study stuff but we have. We can provide them with good technology blogs and other online knowledge centres. It can help them. Thanks

What about the plan for special education students?

Already all parents want their children to return to their normal educational regime. Distance learning has many downsides. For example, this is laziness. I know for myself when no one controls me, I relax and spend a lot of time on the Internet instead of doing my homework. By the way, I want to share with you my find during the pandemic - this is a site https://pickthewriter.com/. It contains reviews of several written services. You can choose the best one for yourself and constantly use their services. Just don't tell your parents. They won't like it.

The school district sent parents a survey and parents said they wanted their kids back to school 5 days a week. They didn't like that survey so they sent a second survey and parents again said they wanted kids back in a regular school schedule. Instead they voted for 2 day a week and your little kids wearing masks 9 hours a day.

The school board does not care what the parents want.

Parents, you are going to be homeschooling your kids anyway so withdraw them public school and put them in a homeschooling program that has had years of experience in this. Don't subject your child to the dangers of wearing masks for 9 hours a day. The human body is not designed for this.

This article feels biased. Did the Town even want to hear from people with opposing views? They unknowingly had an open mic during the technical delay and it was clear what they were doing. Maybe Fauquier Now will write a follow-up when the Town releases the dozens of comments from citizens who filed their statements with the Commission, expecting them to be read during the meeting as advertised on the submission form.
