Upperville home, 19.6 acres sell for $1.83 million

A home on 19.6 acres near Upperville sold recently for $1.83 million.

Built in 1986, the fieldstone and frame house has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a finished basement, stone terraces and a two-car garage. The Delaplane Grade Road property also features a swimming pool, gardens and a guest cottage.

The property went on the market in July with an asking price of $1.82 million, according to Realtor.com. In March 2000, it sold for $1.1 million, according to county real estate records.

Helen MacMahon of Sheridan-MacMahon Realtors represented the seller, and Peter Pejacsevich of Middleburg Real Estate represented the buyer.

The Marshall District sale tops the most recent Fauquier property transactions. But, three other county properties also sold for more than $1 million:

• A 7,100-square-foot log home on 27.8 acres at Hume sold for $1.45 million.

Built in 2003, the house has four bedrooms and 3-1/2 baths. The lakefront property includes a five-car garage, a five-stall stable and fenced paddocks.

The Hume Road property went on the market in March with an asking price of $1.6 million, according to Realtor.com.

Natalie McArtor of Long & Foster represented the seller, and Joel Saunders of Samson Properties represented the seller.

• A three-bedroom home on five acres near Warrenton sold for $1.17 million.

Built in 1944 and recently renovated and expanded, the Springs Road house went on the market in February with an asking price o $1.29 million, according to Realtor.com.

Will Thomas of TTR Sotheby’s International Realty represented the seller and the buyer.

• A five-bedroom home on 52 acres near Marshall sold for more than $1 million.

Built in 2005, the house on Enon School Board went on the market in December with an asking price $50,000 higher than the amount for which it sold, according to Realtor.com.

Anne Michael Greene of Washington Fine Properties represented the seller, and Alex Wood of Century 21 New Millennium represented the buyer.
