Best Bests: Gloria’s concerts back with The Flybirds

The first official weekend of summer offers a variety of cultural and entertainment options around Fauquier.

Music lovers will appreciate the resumption of concerts — with The Flybirds on Saturday night — at the Gloria Faye Dingus Center for the Arts in Old Town Warrenton.

The Piedmont Heritage Area celebrates its 25th anniversary with a full schedule of activities Saturday at the Historic Goose Creek Bridge north of Atoka and west of Middleburg.

A camping event, a pop-up market and Twilight Polo contribute to a lively schedule.

25th Anniversary Celebration

Great American Campout

Park rangers will be on hand to help first-time and experienced campers set up. The event will include the Fishing is Fun program, a campfire, nature hikes, Dogs East Search & Rescue demonstrations and more. Space limited. Advanced reservations are $30 per campsite, plus taxes and fees. Campsites can accommodate up to six people. Dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday included in campsite fee. The female trio — with banjo, bass, guitar and vocals — performs bluegrass and Americana music, including original compositions and well covers.
