Warrenton Warbird Showcase cancelled due to weather

There are several other Warbird Showcase events scheduled for the mid-Atlantic area.
This weekend’s Warbird Showcase in Warrenton has been cancelled due to the weather forecast.

The showcase, featuring WWII aircraft and vehicles, as well as a reenactment, was to be held this Saturday and Sunday at the Warrenton-Fauquier Airport. But due to weather, the event has been officially nixed. It may be rescheduled at a later date, according to The Capital Wing of the Commemorative Air Force - sponsor of the event.

“[Capital Wing] recognizes the cancellation is an inconvenience for the public, but our No. 1 priority is the safety of our flight crews and passengers,” the organization said in a news release.

There are several other Warbird Showcase events scheduled for the mid-Atlantic area.
