Opened to eighth- through 12th-graders in Fauquier County Public Schools, the competition offers cash prizes for the top three.
Students will compete for local fame and cash prizes Friday, April 5, in the 2019 Voice of Fauquier.
Open to singers in Grades 8 to 12 from county public schools, the competition will begin at 6 p.m. in the Addison Lightfoot Auditorium at Fauquier High.
Audience members will vote to select five finalists, who will take the stage for a second round. The audience again will determine the winners.
The winner will get $100. Prizes of $50 and $25 will go to second- and third-place winners, respectively.
Admission will be $3 for students and $5 for adults. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
The Fauquier High School band sponsors the competition.
