Hunter Brown earns NRA expert marksman status

Hunter Brown, a member of the “Warrenton Rifles” Junior Shooting Sports Program, has earned the National Rifle Association’s coveted “Distinguished Expert” for air rifle.

To earn the certification, a shooter/athlete must have a 60-shot aggregate scores of 500 of 600 or better, eight times, in NRA member witnessed three position air rifle matches. The Distinguished Expert is the highest certification award by the NRA’s Marksman Qualification Program.

The Warrenton Rifles are sponsored by the John D. Sudduth American Legion Post 72 in Warrenton and the Fauquier County 4-H.
