Oct. 2 sporting clay shoot benefits Boys & Girls Club

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Fauquier fifth annual Sporting Clay Shoot will take place this year Saturday, Oct. 2, at Granville Farm near Warrenton.

The National Sporting Clays Association-registered shooting event will award prizes to High Overall, Top Lady, Top Junior, Best Team, Top Side x Side and Top Senior (over 70).

Two shifts available at 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The cost is $125 per entrant with lunch included. Trappers will be provided at each station.

Rick Hemingway of Back Woods Quail Club will design the course again this year.

The club seeks volunteer trappers for both shifts (8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.). Trappers will receive a 50-percent registration discount and lunch.
