Michelle Coe, owner of marketing and web design firm BlueSkyPhoenix LLC, will lead the effort.
Founded by Marianne Clyde, the foundation, a nonprofit organization with a mission of empowering, strengthening and inspiring women, offers a series of 12 classes for those who want to start a business or build on an existing one.
Ms. Coe serves as one of the class presenters. She will research and develop a virtual classroom offering to launch next fall. The in-person sessions will continue.
“In a short time, the Be the Change Foundation has created a unique and very successful in-person women’s entrepreneurship program,” she said. “It’s exciting to think about the number of women entrepreneurs who could be served through a similarly-focused online training program. I’m thrilled to serve in this new role and to work with the board of directors as they expand their mission to the online space.”
Class registration (limited to 10) is full for the fall class, which will start Sept. 8, meeting Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lord Fairfax Community College near Warrenton. Participants will follow COVID-safety guidelines. Another in-person session will occur in the spring.
“We are very excited about adding Michelle to our team,” Ms. Clyde said. “We look forward to her guidance as we move forward to expand our mission of serving as many women as possible…now adding a virtual component.”
