To combat the spread of coronavirus, 26 wall-mounted hand sanitizers soon will be installed at the entrances of county government buildings.
The dispensers should be in place “within the next few days,” county General and Environmental Services Director Michael Kresse said in an email Monday.
His department also has order 15 cases of pump bottles of hand sanitizer “for countertop use” at county offices, Mr. Kresse said. “I don't have a lead time on this product and, as you can imagine, the situation is constantly changing. Many items are backordered until mid-April.”
The buildings and grounds staff on Monday gave to all county government departments pre-mixed spray bottles of disinfectant along with “microfiber” towels and instructions, he said.
The buildings and grounds staff also “will wipe down all hard surfaces and handles/doorknobs three times daily in all county-cleaned buildings,” Mr. Kresse said.
