Fauquier High School’s new assistant principal, Danielle Tapscott, has worked as a counselor and dean of students.
Fauquier’s school board recently approved the hiring of Danielle Tapscott as Fauquier High School’s new assistant principal.
Ms. Tapscott, 35, replaces Donna Guzman, who became principal of Marshall Middle School.

Ms. Tapscott will earn $81,600 annually in her new position.
A Fauquier County native, Ms. Tapscott graduated from Liberty High School in 2000.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Virginia Tech in 2004 and a master’s degree in counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2008.
“I look forward to returning back to my hometown and the opportunity to grow as a leader, while impacting the youth of Fauquier County in hopes of them returning and giving back to the community that gave to them,” Ms. Tapscott said. “I am truly grateful and blessed to have this opportunity and look forward to working with this great community.”
In her free time, Ms. Tapscott enjoys spending time with her five siblings, family members and friends. She lives in Bristow.
