Laura Galante “clear-eyed, energetic and laser-focused”
By Ina C. Hall
I attended the candidate forum on Sept. 25 with Democrat Laura Galante and Republican Michael Webert. Both are running for the 18th District House of Delegates seat
They were very different in, not only their responses, but their demeanor. Mr. Webert appeared bored throughout the debate, while Ms. Galante was clear-eyed, energetic and laser-focused on her ideas.
This was evident when the candidates were asked if they supported the ERA. Ms. Galante responded with one word: Yes! Mr. Webert meandered around the issue and quoted party lines that the ERA was dead, and he would be concerned about the effects on women’s sports teams and bathrooms.
Of course, the question du jour was proposed gun control. Mr. Webert said that the legislation proposed at Gov. Ralph Northam’s session in July wouldn’t prevent the murders. He also said legislation coming before him in committee was problematic and that is why he killed it.
When pressed by the moderator for how he would make the legislation better, he demurred and fell back to party lines. While I support the Second Amendment, my thoughts are: If the proposed legislation won’t work, what are Mr. Webert’s thoughts on stopping the mass murders and the carnage? When is he going to not just kill bills, but actually do something to reduce the killing of innocent people?
Mr. Webert was woefully short on ideas. Maybe his eight years in office have jaded him, and he is tired, hence the boredom and lack of initiative to come up with the solutions our county needs.
My vote on Nov. 5 will be for Laura Galante, and I hope you will consider voting for her as well.

Whatever the outcome of our elections, one thing is abundantly clear, President Judas T. Trump needs to be removed from office.

Americans of all races are waking up to the overwhelming facts our constitutional republic (as Benjamin Franklin once said, "If you can keep it...") is rapidly disintegrating before our eyes after many decades of Democrat policies (including the disastrous 1965 Immigration Act) which have all placed the safety and security of Traditional and Working Americans and their families dead last on America's priority list behind everything and everyone else in the world. A careful study of our American history will reveal a series of disastrous persons and events ranging from Alexander Hamilton's deceit; to Abraham Lincoln's massive concentration of power in Washington and waging the bloodiest conflict of the 19th century; to the past century of modern Democrat Socialism, Globalism, and Creeping Marxist-Communist and Sharia Law pushes to "fundamentally transform" America from its roots based on liberty, sovereignty of the individual, "The Principles of '76" and our original constitutional republic of a sovereign, independent confederation of States. Today, Democrats are not even hiding their very open and very brazen contempt for and motives and formerly cleverly disguised efforts at undermining our U.S. Constitution. What we are witnessing today is unprecedented lawlessness in the Democrat-controlled U.S. House of Representatives and in every Democrat-controlled locality, city, State and Federal Government area which promises this permanent destruction of our former constitutional republic.
Whenever a Democrat or Bolshevik calls someone "Racist" after they have been confronted with documented facts from the historic record or documented facts from our current time to support these assertions, it only proves once again that the only thing new under the sun are the old books, documents, letters, diaries and other first-hand accounts and primary sources they have not read and understood yet.
Voting for ANYONE who embraces and runs under the banner of the Depravity Party based on everything to date they have stood for and champion today is not only Unthinkable for me and perhaps a hundred millions more Americans who truly love their land and what dwindling liberty and freedom we have left, it is Preposterous.
For everyone else, thank you for reading and May America Bless God, and may we all strive to return to a place and time in the future on our American continent, established for responsible self-government and timeless ideals of the "Principles of '76" abiding by His message of love, truth and beauty.

Mark House- Everything I posted was accurate. Read it again. Are you embarrased your party wants to allow killing of live babies after birth?
Mark House · October 5, 2019 at 6:24 pm
DonkeyFarmer - The bill did not say "kill" the baby BUT let it "die" a natural death if it were so deformed or unable to live without medical assistance the rest of it's short life. Please don't keep repeating the lie.
Mark House · October 5, 2019 at 6:20 pm
Jeffersonian American - OK, now I see where you are coming from. Thomas Jefferson, saint. MLK, sinner. Perchance are your white and prejudice?
DonkeyFarmer · October 5, 2019 at 6:19 pm
Cammie Rodgers- Kathy Tran D-Fairfax introduced H.R. 2491 that would allow abortions as the "mother is dialating." Governor Northam also Democrat explained in a radio interview that it would also allow killing the baby AFTER birth. After completion of the third trimester, thus the term "forth trimester."
Cammie Rodgers · October 5, 2019 at 3:48 pm
Hon Rev Dr. Sir Ruprechet Aloisious Hollingsworth - 4th Trimester?? Women are now carrying babies for 9-12 months?
Tony Bentley · October 4, 2019 at 7:44 pm
Jeffersonian American - Why do you keep talking and going on and on ad nauseam about dead people? Do you see them too?
Focus on what is happening today. "Committed Marxists"? There is only one person that needs "committed" and it's not the Democrats.

No need to attack the messenger regarding the essential truths of Dr. Martin Luther King.
However, I grow weary of hearing the Emboldened Radical Left whenever they cannot reason with documented facts- they can only resort to calling the other person “Racist.” Never mind that this messenger’s grandmother from the 19th Century taught all of us such important moral excellence as, “We are all God’s children,” and to show all persons respect if they are deserving of that respect. Never mind the accused has enjoyed close friends and working colleagues in both the military and civilian world among all races. That the Emboldened Radical Left’s identification of people by skin color rather than judging them based on the content of their character (the best words of King's legacy) contradicts the whole idea behind the original civil rights movement.
One useful departure point would be to examine Reverend Archibald Carey’s remarks at the 1952 Republican National Convention (the real author of King’s most famous “I Have a Dream” speech):
Staff working at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Papers Project discovered significant amounts of plagiarism in Martin Luther King’s writings- they observed in their 1991 article in THE JOURNAL OF AMERICAN HISTORY that “plagiarism was a general pattern evident in nearly all of his academic writings” including his doctoral dissertation. On still another character dimension, the countless documented links to the Communist Party USA via King’s immediate closest staff and associates at the Southern Christian Leadership Conference include CPUSA-affiliated members Stanley Levison, Harry Wachtel, Randolph Blackwell, Alfred Duckett, Charles Hayes, Carol Hoover, Cordy Vivian, Hosea Williams and others at the SCLC. Here is just one of many sources on this topic:
On still another character dimension, even one of King’s closest associates addressed rumors about King’s sexual activities in his 1989 book, “And the Walls Came Tumbling Down.” Ralph Abernathy (who indeed delivered a thoroughly chilling, truly “racist” address at the 2009 Obama presidential inaugural) said that King did have a weakness for women and engaged in extramarital affairs. As a part of its surveillance activities, the FBI did document some sexual encounters involving Martin Luther King:
Let's examine what Senator Robert F. Kennedy and President Lyndon Baines Johnson said about The Real Dr. Martin Luther King:
"I asked the FBI to make an intensive investigation of Martin Luther King," Robert Kennedy later privately acknowledged to journalist Anthony Lewis, "to see who his companions were and, also, to see what other activities he was involved in. This is also the reason that President Kennedy and I and the Department of Justice were so reserved about him, which I'm sure he felt. We never wanted to get close to him just because of these contacts and connections that he had, which we felt were damaging to the civil rights movement and because we were so intimately involved in the struggle for civil rights, it also damaged us. It damaged what we were trying to do."
Of course, Vice President Johnson's orchestrated assassination of John F. Kennedy later that fall of 1963 cast a pall over the future of civil rights until President Johnson began pushing it again the following year. Nevertheless, the new president—now recipient of the results from the bugs and wiretaps that were capturing Martin Luther King's every move—was watchful of the minister, though apparently for additional reasons. Johnson seemed to consume the King surveillance with gusto, especially the personal stuff. "He listened to the tapes that even had the noises of the bedsprings," Time correspondent Hugh Sidey reported in 1975. Johnson would say, "Goddammit, if you could only hear what that hypocritical preacher does sexually."
It is damning that FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover failed to expose the real Martin Luther King before the American people over a half century ago. Hoover and Johnson's failures, actions and cover-ups led to the martyrdom and beautification of a fraudulent man not of the cloth who now has a national holiday to the exclusion of many more deserving Americans from our shared common American history.
A nation that cannot remember its past accurately and truthfully will itself soon be forgotten. That is what the current Bolshevik Revolution in America wants. Every Democrat running for local, State and national office carries this ideological baggage- today you cannot pretend to be one kind of person while embracing and running for office under the Democrat Party banner with all of its horrific ideology and radical, America-killing beliefs.

Women have equal rights. They'll never have equality of outcome. Women are not men.
That said, I might have to vote for Laura on the basis she is good at cyber.

"Make America Great Again" is a slogan that admits that our country isn't perfect as it currently stands and could use some improvement.
It is weird, though, that when Democrats talk about changing the country then conservatives attack them for somehow hating America.
Seriously Republicans, how did wanting to improve our country ever come to symbolize hating the USA? (Directed at Jeanette G on this board and other conservatives whose rational follows the same irrational pattern)

So if I follow Jeffersonian American's line of thinking, all democrats are one and the same, and must all be Marxist-Communist.
So it must follow that all Republicans must be lying, misogynistic, racist, white nationalist, fascist, con artists bent on destroying our democracy and environment in the name of big money. Is that how your logic goes?
How about you stop painting every person in the democratic party with the same color brush, and open your mind a bit.
Jeffersonian American · October 1, 2019 at 6:43 am
The writer describes "...clear-eyed, energetic and laser-focused" Ms. Galante, Democrat, with zero details of her positions on the most serious issues facing Fauquier and Virginia citizens, all the while attacking the Republican Delegate with a proven track record with many sound votes to protect the liberties and way of life of those same Fauquier and Virginia citizens spanning our Bill of Rights and Virginia and U.S. Constitutions. Let us all be clear- just being a "...clear-eyed, energetic and laser-focused" individual who embraces a full-blown Marxist-Communist Democrat Party agenda in sheep's clothing and a photogenic smile does not mean that person should be entrusted with matters of State and our most cherished individual rights. We have seen the enemy in our midst- and they come in all configurations with the same Democrat goals in mind- the fundamental transformation of Virginia and America. I'll be supporting Delegate Webert to continue his due diligence in Richmond- I judge him not on his Bob Hope personality level, but on his sound judgment and honest representation demonstrated to date in defense of our most cherished rights and constitutions. Don't be fooled by a slick-packaged Democrat embracing the party of Committed Marxists- you cannot run as a Democrat and be another kind of person- you are one and the same; and right now the thought of turning over control of the Virginia House of Delegates to more Committed Marxists would bring new results and outrages to Fauquier and Virginia citizens which are too horrific to contemplate.
Jeannette Griffin · October 1, 2019 at 6:13 am
Laura is just another useless, USA hating democrat and she will lose.
Silii · September 30, 2019 at 6:24 pm
I, too, was there. I was stunned that Mr. Webert didn't know how to respond without shuffling through his notes while his time to respond was ticking away. Seriously, this is after 3 terms and he doesn't know how to respond to what obviously would be the issues and questions. I suspect it's because he really hasn't done much for us in 6 years, nothing innovative, no legislative initiatives to address our specific needs in the 18th. He seemed quite bored, flicking his pen between his fingers, slouching, inability to project his voice, speaking directly to the panel asking questions rather than looking at the audience, leaning back in his chair and looking at the ceiling. Sorry, but he is disengaged from his responsibility and his time in Richmond needs to end.
