Golden Rule Builders adds three to its staff in Catlett

Greg Blair, Dawn Barkman and Devin Barkman.
Golden Rule Builders in Catlett has added three employees — one new and two returning to the company.

“We are pleased to announce that Greg Blair has joined the GRB Team as an estimator/purchaser. Additionally, Dawn and Devin Barkman have returned to full-time employment after taking time away for education and cross-country travel, respectively,” President Joel Barkman said. “Greg comes to us with a career rich in estimating and purchasing in the construction industry and has hit the ground running. His knowledge and contact base will be very beneficial as we continue to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our estimating and purchasing processes.”

Mr. Barkman added: “Dawn has returned as our Production Department coordinator after attaining her business administration/project management and marketing sales degree at Liberty University.

“Devin has just returned to his drafting role in the Architectural Department after taking a sabbatical to ride his motorcycle cross-county from Virginia to Portland, Oregon, via the TransAmerica Trail. It’s great to have both back on board to support our continued growth here at GRB.”

Mr. Barkman 33 years ago founded Golden Rule, which offers a range of design-build services that include remodeling, additions and new custom homes.
