The Plains Town Council has selected Joseph R. Pricone as the new town attorney.

Mr. Pricone practices law with Mark B. Williams & Associates in Warrenton.

Admitted to the Virginia Bar in 2015, Mr. Pricone earned his law degree that year from Regent University in Virginia Beach after graduating from Randolph-Macon College with a bachelor’s in economics and business in 2012.

When the town’s previous attorney left the area, council members in The Plains initially contacted the Virginia Municipal League for a successor, according to Mayor Lori Sisson.

“We chose Joe Pricone because we wanted an attorney who was local, accessible, and had ties to this community,” Ms. Sisson said.

The attorney works part-time for the town on a contractual basis.
