Sarah Yakel joins the board of Oak View National Bank

Sarah J. Yakel, the managing partner of Meridian Financial Partners in Warrenton, has joined the Oak View National Bank Board of Directors.

“We are excited to welcome Sarah to Oak View’s board of directors,” Vice Chairman and CEO Michael Ewing said. “Her integrity and passion for doing the right thing for each client aligns perfectly with our mission and vision at the bank.

“Sarah’s experience and deep knowledge of our community will be a valuable asset to Oak View’s growth objectives and will provide additional expertise to our board of directors.”

Ms. Yakel earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in trust management and financial planning from Campbell University in 1999. A certified financial planner and a member of the Financial Planning Association, she has more than 20 years of experience in investments and trusts. She previously worked in The Fauquier Bank’s Wealth Management department and in BB&T’s trust department.

She and Nathan Gilbert founded Meridian Financial Partners in 2015.

Ms. Yakel is a founding member of Leadership Fauquier, a leadership development organization, and serves as treasurer on the Fauquier Chamber of Commerce board.
