“After thorough scrutiny, it was determined there was no credible threat to the students, staff or the school campus,” the sheriff’s office said in a press release Tuesday night.
A teenager faces possible criminal charges for making “verbal threats” to fellow students last week at Liberty High School in Warrenton, according to the Fauquier sheriff’s office.

Deputies on Tuesday morning investigated the threats, made Friday, Jan. 17.

The sheriff’s office issued this press release Tuesday night:

Bealeton – On the morning of Tuesday, January 21, 2020, the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office and Liberty High School Administration were made aware of threats directed at Liberty High School. The individual made the verbal threats to students on Friday, January 17, 2020. The School Resource Officer, in coordination with the school administration, responded to the reports.

The identity of the individual making the threats was confirmed and the student was located. After thorough scrutiny, it was determined there was no credible threat to the students, staff or the school campus.

The student was released into the custody of a parent. Deputies are presenting probable cause to Juvenile Intake authorities to seek appropriate charges.

The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office and Fauquier County Public Schools continue to work together to provide a safe environment for students and faculty.

Liberty is in Bealeton, not Warrenton like the article states.

They kids need a wake up call , that you do this stuff you will be arrested and run your life just because your lazy and want to go home to play video games.

No more participation trophies, and letting them get away with everything all the time.

They make a threat , let them see how jail or prison will treat them .. put some feat back into them.
