“Take Back Your Pastures!” workshop Thursday, Sept. 5
The free program will take place at Glenmore Farm near Marshall.
The John Marshall Soil and Water Conservation District and Virginia Cooperative Extension will host a “Take Back Your Pastures!” program 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at Glenmore Farm near Marshall.
Participants will tour demonstration plots to learn about Jointhead Arthraxon and Japanese Stiltgrass – two highly invasive annual grasses. The group also will inspect best management practices and learn about the TMDL and VACS programs.
Speakers will include Virginia Cooperative Extension and John Marshall SWCD staff member.
This free education program is open to the public and includes a complimentary meal.
Directions to the host farm will be provided to registered participants.
