After nine years with the association, Jennifer Moore has accepted a portion with Loudoun County government.
Headquartered in the Northern Fauquier village of Atoka, the Virginia Piedmont Heritage Area Association seeks a new executive director.

After nine years with the organization, Jennifer Moore has accepted a job as a senior planner with Loudoun County government.

Ms. Moore joined the heritage organization in 2012 as a part-time employee and moved her way up over the years, becoming president in 2017. She previously worked for the Waterford Foundation and the Journey Through Hallowed Ground National Heritage Area. Ms. Moore served on the executive committee for the Loudoun County Preservation and Conservation Coalition, the Board of Directors of Clarke County Historical Association and the Loudoun County Heritage Commission.

“Jennifer has been the heart of our organization for years and it has been a distinct pleasure to work with her during my tenure,” VPHA Chairman C. Dulany Morison said. “We are sorry to see her go, but she has earned this exciting opportunity and we wish her the best of luck going forward.”

Ms. Moore said, “I have thoroughly enjoyed working for such a passionate Board and it is exciting to see the organization continue to grow after twenty-five successful years.”

VPHA has begun an extensive search to find an executive director, responsible for overall management, fundraising, media relations, public representation and policy.
