Wreaths Across Southern Fauquier seeks contributions to support its effort to honor veterans by decorating gravesites during the holidays.

The M.M. Pierce Patriot Club, the Bealeton-Remington Ruritan Club and American Legion Post 247 organize the effort. Volunteers on Dec. 19 will place wreaths at veterans’ graves in the Hollywood, Remington, Cedar Grove, St. James and Mount Holly cemeteries.

The volunteers last year laid wreaths at the graves of 252 veterans in Southern Fauquier.

Checks may be mailed to: Bealeton-Remington Ruritan Club, P.O. Box 30, Bealeton, Va. 22712, with “Wreaths” on the memo line.
