The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Department arrested three people at the Red Roof Inn Wednesday morning after an incident involving a firearm, according to Lt. Steve Lewis of the Fauquier County Sheriff’s office.

Lewis said the three suspects -- Anthony Eric Goode, 22, of Newport News, Dylan Alan Cohen, 20, of Mineral and a juvenile male of Culpeper -- were being investigated for discharging a GSG Semi-Automatic rifle out of their vehicle in the area of Springs Road and Harts Mill Road after police found a speed limit sign with fresh bullet markings.

Goode was arrested and transported to the Fauquier County Adult Detention Center. He is charged with reckless handling of a firearm, discharging firearm from a roadway, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of firearm by felon and damage to property. He is being held without bond.

Cohen was also arrested and transported to the Fauquier County Adult Detention Center. He is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Cohen has been released on bond.

Petitions are pending for the juvenile for reckless handling, discharge of a firearm from vehicle and damage to property.
