Alan R. Vranian, 67, of Bealeton, died April 25, 2021, of natural causes at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
Mr. Vranian was born March 24, 1954, in Richmond, to Flora and Dick Vranian.
A graduate of J.R. Tucker High School and the University of Richmond, Alan enjoyed a 40-year career in the hospitality industry, which enabled him to travel the world. He was one of the pioneers in developing hotel computer technology. He spent the latter part of his career as a systems engineer for the Prince William County correctional system, where he developed programs that earned him notability and recognition. Alan was a steadfast friend, a compassionate person, and a devoted son.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Flora and Richard Vranian, and his sister, June Vranian.
He is survived by his nephew and niece, Rafi Guroian (Katie) and Victoria Sanders (David) and five great-nieces and nephews, whom he truly adored, Virginia, Harris and George Sanders, and Louise and Vivian Guroian.
At his request, no service will be held. A small reception will be held for close family and friends.
