Alvis Burnett Jr., 52, of Warrenton, passed away August 17, 2019, at Fauquier Hospital.
He was born on July 23, 1967.
Alvis was an honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran and was employed by Travelers Insurance Co. as a senior property claim adjuster.
Alvis is survived by his wife, Ailsa M. Burnett of Warrenton; two sons, Joseph Burnett of Dumfries and Howard Burnett of Warrenton; a daughter, Jada Burnett of Ft. Washington, Md.; his parents: Alvis Burnett Sr. and Olivia Russell Burnett of Manson, N.C., and a sister, Jacqueline (Tyler) Harley of Mullica Hill, N.J.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 26, from 10 to 11 a.m., when the funeral will begin at Oak Shade Baptist Church, 3287 Old Catlett Road, Catlett. Rev. Jesse Jones Jr. will deliver the eulogy. Interment with military honors will take place Tuesday, August 27, in the Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Norlina, N.C.
