Obituaries » Claudette Holloman

Claudette Holloman, 87, of Remington, passed away peacefully September 9, 2021, in Nokesville, after a short time in hospice care.

Claudette was born January 20, 1934, in Rochester, N.H., to the late George and Irene Bouchard.

She graduated from Spaulding High School in Rochester, N.H., in 1952 and went to nursing school in Concord, N.H., for two years until she met and married Cedrick Holloman, relocating to Wilson, N.C., for a short time. Cedrick and Claudette settled in Falls Church and had four children. She relocated to Gainesville, where she worked at Atlantic Research until its closure.

Her retirement years were spent in Remington, where she served as president and treasurer for the Remington-Bealeton Senior Citizen Group for many years. She enjoyed watching Western TV shows, listening to country music and going dancing. She bowled on a league team in Culpeper, until a back injury just a few years ago. Other passions included bingo, puzzles and reading. She enjoyed her family gatherings, especially around Christmas holidays.

Claudette was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Lambert; a son, Ricky Holloman; her beloved companion, Kenny Jenkins; her parents, George and Irene Bouchard, and siblings Donald Bouchard, Lorraine Bouchard, Barbara Bouchard, George Bouchard Jr., Mona Bouchard and Silvia Bouchard.

Claudette is survived by her sons, George (Bonnie) Holloman and Steve (Sandy) Holloman; a son-in-law, Robert Lambert; a sister, Estelle Allard of Rochester, N.H.; six grandchildren, Greg Dingus, Shawn Turner, Scott Lambert, Jesse Holloman, Carlie Holloman and Kacy Benson, and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Capital Caring Health and Sandy and Margo of Sharing Hearts Home Healthcare for their services.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. September 24, at Warrenton Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s National Capital Area Chapter, 8180 Greensboro Drive, Suite 400, McLean, Va. 22102, or Capital Caring Health, 3180 Fairview Park Drive, Falls Church, Va. 22042.
